El Paso, TX –Downtown El Paso is set to host a vibrant celebration of art, culture, and community with the first-ever Tattoo Crawl, running from 9:15 a.m. to 9:15 p.m. on September 15, 2024. This groundbreaking event, envisioned by Angel Reynosa, owner of After Ten Tattoo, will bring together three prominent tattoo shops: After Ten Tattoo, Monolith Tattoo, and Sunset Tattoo.
After successfully running his first location in San Diego, CA, Angel Reynosa has opened his second studio in Downtown El Paso, reflecting his dedication to his hometown and his desire to foster community engagement. The Tattoo Crawl, timed perfectly for 915 Day, embodies Reynosa’s vision of uniting local artists and drawing attention to the dynamic spirit of Downtown El Paso.
“Creating something special for our city was important to me,” said Reynosa. “After moving back home, I wanted to collaborate with other local shops and boost foot traffic in Downtown. 915 Day was the ideal opportunity to launch this event and celebrate our community.”
Each shop has its own unique style. After Ten Tattoo focuses on black-and-gray, fine line, and realism styles. Sunset Tattoo focuses on bold, American Traditional designs, while Monolith Tattoo brings a hybrid mix of traditional and Japanese-inspired styles. All three locations have an amazing group of well-rounded artists capable of tackling any style. Attendees will be able to choose from flash designs at each shop. With over 20 skilled artists participating, attendees can choose from an array of flash designs at each location.
Adding to the excitement, a special guest from Reynosa’s San Diego location, Vic Alvarez, will be joining the crawl. As a San Diego native and esteemed tattoo artist, Alvarez will bring his own unique flash designs to Downtown El Paso and share his enthusiasm for the event.
The Tattoo Crawl will feature a range of activities and entertainment, including:
  • Lowrider car displays
  • Live music from bands like Darling May, Pretty Sour, and Sweet Ventura at Sunset Tattoo
  • Pop-up shops and vendors at various Downtown locations, including Ghost Fox Toy Store and Gallery, Monolith Tattoo, and more
  • Special promotions and activities at participating businesses such as Jane and Jensen Vintage, Mona Bar of Modern Art, and La Bang Bang
In addition, all raffle proceeds from the Tattoo Crawl will benefit the El Paso Community Foundation, providing an opportunity for attendees to win tattoo giveaways and more while supporting a worthy cause.
