(DACC) is proud to announce that its first nursing class from the Sunland Park Center has graduated.
Four students graduated from the program this fall, with a pinning ceremony that took place on Friday, December 6th. The DACC Nursing program at Sunland Park opened its doors in 2023, and this first graduating class is a significant step towards increasing the number of nurses who will serve the community. The program takes approximately a year and three months to complete and affords students the opportunity to become either a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN).
This graduating class will additionally assist southern Doña Ana County. “Our vision was to expand access to nursing education in Sunland Park and surrounding areas and to grow the local workforce,” says Ashley Rodriguez, interim Nursing program director.
Students interested in applying to the Nursing program can get additional information from the DACC website at https://dacc.nmsu.edu/academics/programs/nursing/index.html or call the Sunland Park Nursing program at (575) 874-7786.
