El Paso, TX — The El Paso Downtown Management District (DMD) is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members to its governing board: Kelly Tomblin, President & CEO of El Paso Electric; Robert (Beto) Burton, Executive Vice President of Client Services; and Kathrin Berg, Executive Vice President at the El Paso Community Foundation. These leaders bring diverse expertise and a strong commitment to enhancing the vibrancy and growth of Downtown El Paso.
At their inaugural board meeting of the fiscal year, the DMD Board also elected its new officers:
  • President: Mark Osborn, Chief Executive Officer of Kemp Smith
  • Vice President: Nadia Baem, Commercial Agent at Grayce Property Consultants
  • Treasurer: Joanne Richardson, UTEP Budget & Personnel
  • Secretary: Yolanda Giner, Chief Legal Officer & Executive Vice President for Franklin Mountain Investments, LLC
In their first meeting with the new board and officers, the DMD approved a Pedestrian Corridor Improvement Grant to support enhancements for Tibor’s Craft Cocktails, a new venue located at 115 Durango St., Suite A, in the Union Plaza District. With a total eligible proposed improvement cost of $5,745, the board approved a reimbursable grant of $2,872.50 to assist in creating an inviting and accessible space for patrons.
