LAS CRUCES – The Doña Ana Community College Library is welcoming students back to campus with several hands-on workshops featuring sewing, merchandise design and recycled art.
The scheduled events include:
Scrunchie Making – Participants can sew their own scrunchies while exploring The Index, the library’s new makerspace. The workshop will be held Tuesday, August 25, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the East Mesa Campus Library inside the Academic Resources Building, 2800 Sonoma Ranch Boulevard.
Campus Club Merch Design Lab – Students can design custom buttons or stickers to promote a campus club, academic program or other organization. The workshop is scheduled for Thursday, September 10, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the East Mesa Campus Library.
Recycled DVD Suncatchers – Participants will use paint and old DVDs to create hanging suncatchers. The workshop will take place Tuesday, September 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. inside the East Mesa Campus Library.
Additional activities offered by the DACC Library include sticker making and bookmark creation.
