Doña Ana Community College (DACC) is hosting a school supply donation drive this weekend for the upcoming school year, along with free family-fun activities.
The college, along with Bravo Mic Communications and Nusenda Credit Union, is holding the annual Stuff the Bus school supplies drive on Saturday, July 11th, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the DACC East Mesa campus, 2800 Sonoma Ranch Blvd., inside the Student Resources Building. The purpose of the event is to collect new school supplies that will be distributed to students and teachers throughout the upcoming school year.
Suggested supplies include: deodorant, toothbrushes/toothpaste, feminine products, travel-size laundry detergent, #2 pencils & sharpeners, mechanical pencils, pens (blue, black, and red), pink erasers, crayons, glue, folders, spiral notebooks, backpacks, paper, scissors, tissues, rulers, protractors, markers, colored pencils, flash drives, rulers, pencil bags, binders, dividers, and combination locks. Donations can also be dropped off before July 11th at the DACC Workforce Center, 2345 E. Nevada, in office 100B.
The Stuff the Bus event will also offer many family-friendly activities, including free first-day-of-school photos, a STEM station, cornhole, foam party, free haircuts, free backpacks, food trucks and more.
