LAS CRUCES – Las Cruces firefighters quickly contained a structure fire Tuesday morning on El Camino Real.
Fire crews were called just after 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, May 26, to the 2400 block of El Camino Real after a structure fire was reported. The first arriving crew found active fire and smoke coming from the building.
Firefighters brought the fire under control in about 10 minutes. Officials said the fire did not spread beyond the room where it started.
Crews also completed a thorough search of the structure. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
