Las Cruces – The City of Las Cruces is inviting residents to help shape the community’s future by participating in a series of public meetings and an online Community Needs Survey as part of its Strategic Plan Update.
City officials say public feedback will help identify priorities, programs, and investments that will guide Las Cruces over the next several years. The community engagement effort follows the release of the City’s Landscape Analysis & Needs Assessment, which examined current conditions, leadership perspectives, and the economic and community factors influencing the city’s future.
Mayor Eric Enriquez said the next phase of the process focuses on hearing directly from residents about what they value most, where improvements are needed, and what they envision for the future of Las Cruces.
Community Development Director Chris Faivre said public participation is essential to ensuring the updated strategic plan reflects the evolving needs and priorities of residents throughout the city.
Residents can attend one of six public meetings scheduled throughout Las Cruces and are also encouraged to complete the online Community Needs Survey. Food and refreshments will be provided at each meeting.
Upcoming public meetings include:
- July 29, 3:30 to 5 p.m. – Frank O’Brien Papen Center Auditorium
- July 30, 3:30 to 5 p.m. – Roadrunner Room at Branigan Library
- August 4, 3:30 to 5 p.m. – Lynn Middle School (Community School)
