LAS CRUCES – Calling those interested in the film industry! Doña Ana Community College (DACC) is hosting a free training session for production assistants.
The session is a two-day training by the National Indian Youth Council (NIYC) and Group Effort Initiative. DACC is one of four locations in the state that will host the session to prepare emerging crew members for careers in film, television, commercial and digital media production. The training session is July 10th & 11th at the DACC Creative Media Technology Building (Cholla Hall) 2400 Film Street. Specific details, including times, will be shared with participants after they register.
The training sessions are open to 20 participants. Registration is available at Levitate | Surveys. Participants will be introduced to key responsibilities of production assistant work, with a specific focus on location-based production needs. Participants will receive hands-on training with practical experience and industry knowledge, real-world exposure to career pathways in New Mexico’s film industry, and connections with filmmakers and production professionals.
