The Senior Soirée kicked off in style at the Munson Senior Center, bringing together more than 200 attendees for an afternoon filled with connection, celebration, and fun. Hosted by the Las Cruces Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class 33, the event created a lively and welcoming atmosphere dedicated to the 55+ community in Las Cruces on Saturday, May 2nd.

Guests enjoyed a variety of activities designed to keep the energy high throughout the event. From dancing to a competitive billiards tournament, there was no shortage of entertainment. Keeping the party going was Leadership Advisor Ricky T., who served as DJ with Rock 104.9, spinning music that had attendees on their feet and dancing throughout the event. Health screenings were also available, thanks to contributions from Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine and Mountain View Regional Medical Center, offering valuable wellness resources to attendees.

The celebration didn’t stop there. Guests were treated to complimentary food provided by Dickerson’s Catering, while a photo booth captured memorable moments throughout the day. Attendees also had the chance to participate in raffle drawings and show off their style in the crowd-favorite “Best Dressed” contest.

According to Leadership Advisor Jennifer C., the excitement for the event was evident from the very beginning. “There was a line outside the door, and everyone who came out just had smiles on their faces,” she said.

From laughter to lively conversation, smiles were seen all around as the community came together for this special occasion. The Senior Soirée proved to be more than just an event, it was a meaningful celebration of connection, health, and joy for Las Cruces’ senior community.
