Fire Damages Structure on West Organ Avenue in Las Cruces

LAS CRUCES – A fire damaged a small structure in the 800 block of West Organ Avenue on Wednesday, September 16, according to the Las Cruces Fire Department. No injuries were reported.

Firefighters responded shortly after 3:30 p.m. near the railroad tracks. The department said a fire that began outside spread toward the structure. Crews brought it under control quickly, then remained at the scene to extinguish smoldering areas.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
