LAS CRUCES – Free biometric health screenings are being offered today at the Doña Ana Community College Espina Campus in Las Cruces.
Presbyterian’s Mobile Health Unit will provide the screenings from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, at the DACC Espina Campus, 3400 Espina Street. The screenings are available to members of the public as well as DACC students, faculty and staff.
The free screenings include blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, height, weight and body mass index, or BMI, along with additional health measurements.
Those planning to have their blood sugar or cholesterol tested are asked to fast for at least 12 hours before the screening. DACC says the screenings are intended to help individuals better understand their health and identify potential risk factors.
The screenings are being conducted through Presbyterian’s Mobile Health Unit and are available throughout the day at no charge.
