LAS CRUCES – Las Cruces Utilities is warning residents about a possible scam after receiving several reports of flyers or door hangers asking homeowners to complete and submit forms about their water quality.
According to Las Cruces Utilities, the notices were not created, distributed or authorized by the utility or its Water Department. Officials believe the flyers may be an attempt to collect personal information from homeowners or gather details about private water systems.
Residents who receive one of the notices are advised not to complete or submit the form and to dispose of the flyer.

Las Cruces Utilities is also asking residents to help protect the community by sharing the warning with friends, family members and neighbors.
