LAS CRUCES – Las Cruces Public Schools will host a drive-thru food distribution Thursday morning, June 4, for local families needing food assistance.
The distribution will begin at 9 a.m. in front of the LCPS Family Support Center, located at 505 S. Main St., Suite 249.
According to the district, food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to the first 75 families. The line is expected to begin forming a couple of hours before the scheduled start time, and families are encouraged to arrive before 9 a.m.
Families are asked to remain in their vehicles throughout the distribution. LCPS said up to two households may be served per vehicle, with one food box available per family.
No pre-registration is required.
The event is being made possible through the support of community partners and volunteers, including Bilingual Community Outreach and Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico.
