ANTHONY – Doña Ana County Fire Rescue crews responded to a residential structure fire in Anthony Saturday afternoon.
Firefighters were dispatched shortly after 3:15 p.m. to the 160 block of Saltbush Drive after reports of a possible house fire. When crews arrived, they found a single-wide mobile home on fire.
Firefighters worked quickly to make sure everyone was safely out of the home before extinguishing the fire. Crews remained on scene afterward to monitor for hotspots.
One person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation but refused medical transportation.
The American Red Cross was called to assist the displaced family.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
