LAS CRUCES – Free summer meals are returning for children across Doña Ana County, giving families another way to make sure kids have access to nutritious meals while school is out.

The program is open to children ages 1 through 18. Meals are provided at no cost, and children may eat on-site or take meals to go.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Meals will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at several community resource centers and community centers across the county. The program will be closed May 25, June 19 and July 3.

County officials are encouraging families to take advantage of the program and help make sure every child in the community has access to meals during the summer months.
