LAS CRUCES — The New Mexico State Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit, assisted by the U.S. Marshals Service, arrested a Las Cruces woman wanted on a warrant alleging an attempt to commit first-degree murder.
State police said officers arrested 35-year-old Aimee Martinez on June 17 after investigators received information about her whereabouts. Officers conducted surveillance to confirm her location and coordinated an arrest plan intended to protect the public, law enforcement personnel and others in the area.
Martinez was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Doña Ana County Detention Center.
All persons mentioned are innocent until possibly found guilty by a court.
